| FAQs
Q: Are you recognised, fully qualified clinicians?
A: Our Physiotherapists are Chartered, have a Degree in Physiotherapy and are Registered with The Health Professions Council. A: Our sports Massage practitioner has qualified through the London School of Sports Massage and is registered with the Sports Massage Association. A: We do not employ clinicians who are newly qualified or inexperienced. All are experts within the field of sports medicine.
Q: I have medical health insurance. How do I claim for my physiotherapy treatment?
A: Most Health Insurance policies cover physiotherapy treatment. This includes any of the types of treatment, for example acupuncture, that your physio may use to address your problem. In order to validate your treatment you will need to do the following;
Obtain a referral letter from your GP or Consultant. Ask your GP/Consultant if they will refer you to us for treatment.
Inform your insurance company. They will advise you as to their individual procedures. On your first visit, the very least that we require from you are your Insurer and GP details.
At Kinesis we bill your insurers directly so unless you have an excess on your policy there will be nothing to pay. However, policies do vary and it is up to you to check your available allowance for treatment.
Q; I don't have medical insurance. Can I still come for physiotherapy treatment?
A: Yes. You can simply telephone our appointment line to book your first 1 hour appointment which includes assessment and treatment. Your physio will then discuss the need for follow-up treatments with you. Should you wish to speak to one of our clinicians prior to booking then please call our office or mobile numbers.
Q:What will happen at my first physiotherapy appointment?
A: Your first appointment lasts approximately 1 hour and involves an initial detailed consultation so that your physiotherapist can acquire the relevant details regarding your condition. They will then assess you in order to diagnose your problem and identify any problems that may be causing it. They will then commence your treatment programme and discuss a treatment plan with you
