David Palmer, BSc (Hons) MSCP

Registered with the Health Professions Council

David spent his youth in the footballing ranks of Nottingham Forest F.C, playing in the youth set up from ages 13-18.   Injury meant spending a lot of time with the physiotherapists and other injured athletes, which instigated his passion for musculoskeletal physiotherapy.

He qualified from Sheffield Hallam University with a First Class Honours degree in Physiotherapy. After qualifying, Dave worked for Peterborough United Football Club as U7's – U16's Match Day Physiotherapist.

Since then he has been working as a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist within the NHS providing an abundance of opportunities to develop his skills treating a vast array of pathologies: from chronic low back and neck pain to post-operative management and sports injuries.

Sports injuries is where Dave flourished, and through collaboration with specialist GP's (a consultant physician for the military and Ryder Cup medical advisor) and orthopaedic consultants, gained invaluable experience developing his skills in the treatment of lower limb overuse injuries specifically Patella and Achilles Tendinopathies.

Dave has also qualified to use acupuncture, which has been an extremely useful adjunct to treating both acute and chronic pain.

When not playing football, Dave is a keen half marathon runner, having taken part in last years Great North Run, and also an enthusiastic skier!
